SPF question

Post by bulon »

Hi,

The SPF filter works fine except for my own domain :

When the RolletNet mail server receives mail from <mydomain>.org to <mydomain>.org, it accepts mail from anywhere.
I suppose it doesn't check the SPF of my domain wich is :
"v=spf1 mx ptr ~all"

I could blacklist my own domain but I'm not too sure of the result and I think it isn't "clean".

Did I miss something ?

The default action for soft fail (the ~all option) is to accept the message since ~ is typically used for domains in transition or testing. You can change that to -all for a hard failure and add the IP address of your mail server to the SPF record. For example, the SPF record for rollernet.us is:

Code: Select all

v=spf1 ip4:67.118.43.88/29 ip4:66.224.163.66/32 -all
