Account Upgrade Question

Post by guido331 »

We are in Houston TX and recently went through Hurricane Ike. Thankfully none of us got hurt and we have no property damage but our power and internet services are down for the forseeable future. We subscribe to the personal level of service and currently have several domains using the backup MX services. How long will mail stay queued on your system before it expires? If it does expire or has some other storage limit, can that be extended until we can get our servers back online?

Additionally, if we sign up for webmail services also, can that be configured to access currently queued mail for our domains?

Mail stays queued for three weeks before it expires. There is no size limit to this queue. You can actually start with Secondary MX and then change modes to Hosted Mail later if the queue starts running out of time; the system is able to deliver everything waiting in queue to a mail box account. It's also possible to read the queue through the account control center web interface. However, webmail can't access the "waiting in queue" messages since they're not technically an email message yet.

By upgrading to a paid account you will have access to all of our services.
