Received headers lost when using forwarding feature

Post by drdave »

I just noticed that at least with the "Selective Forwarding with Forward All" feature and using the "Forward All" address that all of the "Received" headers before the forward event are not passed along to the recipient. Can you reproduce? I was looking for someway to identify who the original recipient was when I noticed they were missing.

This is a known limitation of the forwarding system; we're working on a fix that will pass all headers.

Still not passing headers through

Post by drdave »

This is still not working. How soon do you think you will get to it? I recommended this forwarding feature to my Linux Users Group and I know at least one person signed up but I forgot that this was still broken so I think I should withdraw my recommendation until this is fixed.

Soon; we've been working on getting the new billing system sorted out. Passing the whole message (with headers, in a fault-tolerant manner to our outbound MX pool) is still being tested.

Forwarded messages will now have full headers intact. Since this was a major change to the forwarding handler, please let us know ASAP if you experience any problems with it.
