mx backup problem

Post by easiconseil »

Hi,

Yesterday i change my mail server and the server ip change too. During the downtime, mx backup of rollernet.us keep refused mails. So all works fine.

But now, my new server is up since 2 days and all dns changes are propagated. The problem that i have is that rollernet mx backup try to send keeped mails to the old ip adresse and not the new ip. How can i fix that without lost any mails ?

Many thanks for help

Ooops.

No that works. Mails are comming to the new server.

Sorry for the noise, perhaps i don"t wait enough dns propagation.

Many thanks.

You can force delivery to a specific IP address by changing the domain mode to "SMTP Redirection" and entering the IP address and port (25, if you can already accept mail directly). Once DNS is happy, you can change the mode back. Mode changes won't affect the mail queue, but anything currently in delivery will not pick up the change until the next attempt.

Also, if you want to see what the DNS looks like to us, go to http://acc.rollernet.us/mail/test.php and run some of the tests.
