Account Control Center Drive Failure

Post by RollerNetSupport » Sat Jul 18, 2009 4:33 pm

The account control center (acc.rollernet.us) server is logging SATA errors for one of the hard drives. We're looking in to it.

It's running two drives with Linux software RAID1, but it's not faulting the drive that keeps timing out. We're trying to fault it manually.

Managed to run "mdadm /dev/md0 --fail /dev/sdb1" but now it's stuck in a loop. Rebooting.

It's back up now. The trouble drive is still indicating fault status so it shouldn't give us any more trouble while we work on it.

We swapped in a new drive and everything is now back to normal.
