Adding whitelist notes/comments
Hi, I've been adding a few IP's to the 'Mail Whitelist' after tightening up security to prevent SPAM. However, as I add more IP's, I'm finding myself scratching my head remembering what they're for... Therefore, I was hoping that it would be possible to put in a quick fix of an extra column t...

Re: Joining DNS_WL
Sorry to dig up an old thread, but what are the chances of having a change from Low (-1.0) to Medium (-10.0). I'm not experiencing any delivery problems (that I know of anyway), but if things are going well, I was hoping that a medium status might be on the cards on their system? I guess it's down t...

Re: Domain/Account wide sieve scripts
The Sieve interfaces in Roundcube and Squirrelmail will only see scripts they want to see because they use a fixed layout to translate between script and graphical interface. Does that mean it's not possible? Not likely, unless the authors of the respective plugins make it so. As far as I am aware ...

Re: Domain/Account wide sieve scripts
Quoting from other thread. That's not entirely impossible because the "include" extension does have a global provision. We would need to add an option in the ACC to move or make available an existing script to the global store. There's no security though, so if someone managed to guess yo...

Domain/Account wide sieve scripts
As per my comment in this thread , would be good if domain or account wide sieve scripts could be added. For example, as a domain admin, if changing SPAM filtering and therefore headers, sieve scripts generally need to be updated to pick up the changes. At the moment, I have to go into each account ...

Re: DNSBL checking order
Thanks for the feedback Seth. I fully appreciate your situation and understand the detrimental effect it could have on your service, but just wanted to ask if there were any options/solutions. Thanks for looking into it. With regards to the ACC tool, that would be a nice feature that people could us...

Re: DNSBL checking order
If you put DNSBL in "Enabled (tag)" mode you'll see them all as X-Rollernet-Dnsbl header entries. Choosing this option delays DNSBL lookups until after DATA since it's adding headers. Forgot to mention this part. I would do this, but I do like the blocking as it prevents unnecessary mail ...

Re: DNSBL checking order
I guess there would be a delay in waiting for each DNSBL to respond in order to add to the logs every match, but isn't it generally only seconds? Could you not just report those that responded within the allocated 5 seconds in the logs? If there's a DNSBL that always fails to meet that time, users (...

Re: DNSBL checking order
Thanks for the response Seth. Is it possible to have them sorted and to check in a specific order, or even better, is it possible for the logs to show all matches against the DNSBL's? That way, it's possible to see which lists are being utilised and are effective at their job and which aren't being ...

DNSBL checking order
Hi there, Just following up on my email, as I'm wondering if there's more than one DNSBL to check against, what order the checks take place? Is it a case of checking them all and the first one to come back with a positive match, that's what it's rejected on? Then no match, it'll wait for them all to...

Re: Copy to 'Sent' server side
Thanks for the update Seth. Nice choice in phone by the way! That's not available here in Europe, but I've recently got myself the Nexus One, also running Android 2.1 and it's great. AppBrain is a great site just incase you've not come across it yet  Just out of interest, are you using the bui...

Re: Copy to 'Sent' server side
Hi Seth, Everyone does it the same way, via IMAP. It's the only way. Whether or not it can be turned off and at what level varies between clients. On my winmo phone I can only turn it on or off for all accounts, not individually. Webmail will take a while because I can't just ignore its IP since mir...

Re: Copy to 'Sent' server side
Thanks for the responses. I'm happy disabling the copy carried out client side, as all of them are using Thunderbird, so it's just a check in a box, so that shouldn't be an issue. I don't know how iPods, iPhones do it, but if webmail can be de-duped, that'll be perfect. Hmm, I wonder have the Apple ...

Re: Copy to 'Sent' server side
Hi Seth, Sorry, another quick question. When using webmail, the message is duplicated in 'Sent Items'. Is there a way of the system identifying the source to prevent duplication? It's just I know some users send email from different sources (webmail, iPods, desktop email clients), so one solution do...

Re: Copy to 'Sent' server side
Ok, thanks Seth for confirming how it all works. So just to get it right in my head, using a client to copy to 'smtpauth' and the 'sent' folder only counts for one lot of bandwidth against allowance, that's on the smtpauth part. Then the copy to sent folder doesn't use bandwidth, as that's an imap ...
