Re: Host 'acc.rollernet.us' is blocked because of many connection errors; unblock with 'mysqladmin flush-hosts'

I believe I've tracked this down to someone abusing the API interface, so I'm going to make some small adjustments to the API to hopefully address it.

Re: CAA Mandated by CA/Browser Forum

I'm working on the last round of backend updates today before we progress to the next update that will add new record types.

Re: EDNS Compliance Issues

We do of course plan to continue upgrading PowerDNS, but we are doing so in incremental steps without making large version jumps because we need to make sure DNSSEC enabled zones don't break in the process. It's more critical to us to continue serving zones uninterrupted. When we perform an upgrade ...

Re: EDNS Compliance Issues

Our servers do support EDNS properly (no firewall inspection, no TCP blocking), but appear to fail the ednscomp test because of how it performs the tests.

The bug is noted here:

Re: TLSA record support

I just noticed while working on other Primary DNS stuff that TLSA wasn't listed under the supported record types in the help docs. It's in there now.

Re: Client SSL cert

They haven't ever been set to send a client certificate on the SMTP side, no.

What's the intended goal?

Re: TLS-only forwarding

Back when I originally imagined doing this the idea was for strict mode that would only proceed if the fingerprint of the server we connected to matched what was configured in the control center. But as you said, LetsEncrypt certs are short lived, so you'd have to change that setting constantly whic...

Re: Download logs of hosted mailbox

It's not exactly a log, it just shows the most recent connection IP address and timestamp. Go to: https://acc.rollernet.us/mail/box.php And click on the "View Mail Box Statistics" link. It will change view to show storage use, last IP, and last login time. Edit: Access from webmail will always show ...

Re: Download logs of hosted mailbox

We have logs for IMAP and POP3, but only on request. The system only shows the most recent IP address in the control center.

Re: IMAP login stopped working

I would recommend trying to log in with webmail using the problem password to see if it works there or not. If webmail works then it's probably the iPhone that changed. We haven't done any new dev work on the hosted mail server itself in quite a long time.

Mail Mirror - A Helpful Safety Feature

I've been meaning to write something about encouraging people checking out the Mail Mirror feature for a while now. This feature is extremely helpful for saving copies of messages that are handled by our system. Too often, we get requests for help into support about messages from the queue that were...

No problem, we'll look in to the propagation delay. Changes should appear in real time without any delays.
