Re: RollerNet needs a Twitter handle

Actually, when I first tried to access the status page I went to http://status.rollernet.us/ and then I remembered that you went with a dedicated domain for the page and I was just being dyslexic so I tried http://rollernetstatus.us/ and got an "It works!" page. My next guess was to try ht...

Re: RollerNet needs a Twitter handle

No, I'm not aware of any links outside my bookmarks, I just had that one memorized. Might be handy to make it a permanent redirect.

Re: RollerNet needs a Twitter handle

My ISP uses a Twitter handle solely for reporting network status. I'm subscribed to it with devices updates which means I get an SMS to my cellphone every time they send a Tweet. It was useful one time when they had a fire near their data center which took out the Internet. When someone from the com...

RollerNet needs a Twitter handle

RollerNetwork needs a Twitter handle or how else am I suppose to mention them when sending a Tweet about them. The people behind RollerNetwork have already done an excellent job with transparency and public relations by providing the forums and blog, but I think they could take it a step further and...

Can't disable third-party signatures on outgoinf mail

I am having issues with some outgoing mail that is matching a signature from Sane Security and I can't find a knob for disabling third-party anti-virus signatures on outgoing email. I have disabled third-party signatures on the corresponding incoming mail domain alzatex.com, but it didn't seem to he...

Re: DNSSEC

Just thought I'd mention, both NS1 and NS2 are now fully functioning as DNSSEC slave servers. Not sure when you upgraded it, but thanks!

I did not say Teredo Server, but Teredo Relay. Teredo attempts to find the closest exit point using IPv6 and sets up a tunnel directly to that relay. A Teredo client uses a Teredo Server only to send an initial bubble which opens a tunnel that will get routed back to the client through the relay clo...

Unfortunately, a 6to4 relay only shortens the return path, though that might still be some benefit to some customers such as myself who have their primary mail server residing at a 6to4 address. On the other hand, a teredo relay shortens both directions to the equivalent IPv4 route. When I setup mir...

With sendmail on the server side, I should be able to verify your certificate via the Equifax certificate and your subject just as a browser would verify it. I extracted the Equifax certificate from my installed copy of Firefox which I already trust and installed it as a listed CA in sendmail. Sendm...

SSL Client Authentication

I noticed that the Equifax issued certificate used by the mail servers is marked for the "TLS Web Client Authentication" purpose which gave me the idea of using to authenticate incoming mail from Rollernet instead of whitelisting the IP address everywhere. I added Equifax as a trusted CA f...

Actually, I was just referring to the forums which seem to have an explicit meta tag declaring the encoding to be iso-8859-1. The AAC and all webpages available under https:// seem to advertise utf-8 for their encoding in the HTTP Content-type header, however, all static pages under http:// do not r...

Just as a minor side note, I had to instruct my browser to use UTF-8 in order to see the Chinese characters as the webpage has a meta tag in it instructing the browser to use iso-8859-1.

Is it possible to have dnssec enabled on the secondary DNS service? Currently, as it is configured, it will transfer RRSIG and NSEC records when requested specifically, but not in combination with other queries. It looks like in BIND 9.3, dnssec is disabled by default and enabling it also enables dn...

IPv6 Glue Records

I am curious if you have looked into getting IPv6 glue records for your domain installed through your registrar allowing a DNS server to fully resolve the name without IPv4 connectivity.

Queue Status not updating

I know that the queue status is not an accurate account of mail queued at the server, but the number does not appear to be updating at all. Our primary mail server for ekatetra.com went down at least 16 hours ago and has not come up since due to severe power failures. The queue status for that domai...
