Sieve - Response address

Post by Black20VT »

Hi all,

I'm after a little help with a 'vacation' response.

I've got it working perfectly for people that email directly, however, those that come from a contact form on a website don't get a response.

Looking into this, I've found this is because the 'Return-Path' is that of the server, but the from address is the address I'd like the response to go to, which is what email clients seem to use.

Therefore, how can I get the vacation to work for massages via the form and not just email?

Thanks.

The auto-responder will not work if any of these conditions are true:

* Auto-Submitted: header exists with any value except "no"
* Precedence: header exists with value "junk", "bulk" or "list"
* The envelope sender begins with "MAILER-DAEMON" (case-insensitive)
* The envelope sender begins with "LISTSERV" (case-insensitive)
* The envelope sender begins with "majordomo" (case-insensitive)
* The envelope sender begins with "owner-" (case-sensitive)
* The envelope sender contains the string "-request" anywhere within it (case-sensitive)
* The envelope sender and envelope recipient are the same
* The envelope recipient is not found in the message To:, Cc: or Bcc: fields.

You'll probably need to modify the web form to mimic an email client.

Thanks for the response.

I've checked those headers and we're all clear, it just seems to be the return path set to that of the server and not the address that submitted the form.

I've got the web developer looking into it for me.

Thanks for your help
