Hosted Mailbox problem - valid user table needed

Post by tvierling »

It seems that the valid user table is not allowed when in hosted mailbox mode. This is a problem, because it's not possible to set up entries corresponding to selective forwarding, nor is it possible to set up a restricted set of valid addresses that end up in a catch-all box.

Also, it seems that any valid user table created before switching to hosted mail mode is actually heeded. I had a domain in "Default Deny" with some explicit allow entries, and addresses not set up as "allow" ahead of time were denied with the usual "not in recipient maps" error even though the domain had been switched to hosted mode.

Perhaps the valid user table should still be available, but should have explicit fixed "allow" entries for non-catchall mailboxes (similar to how postmaster and abuse are required)?

This issue should now be resolved; valid user tables for domains in hosted mode will now be assembled using the mapping tables in addition to the mail box list.
