No, it's not. If a non-valid user bounce is detected, it'll trigger the backscatter scanner. There's no technical difference between secondary mx backscatter and redirection backscatter.
You can always set up a catchall account that delivers to /dev/null or discards on your server. Basically, if we're going to spend the money on bandwidth to accept that mail, your server needs to accept it too.
